General course overview and outline of expectations

This course is designed to introduce relatively advanced Greek students to the colorful world of Homeric epic. It presumes that the student has progressed through (at least ) intermediate Attic Greek, is comfortable with Greek grammar, and has a reasonable workable vocabulary. We consider the Odyssey as a whole and also attempt to be precise in readings of individual lines.
