Though there is an astounding range of helpful tools that can be brought to bear on the problem of learning Greek, much of it is for the more advanced student or the specialist. For this course we will be relying primarily on E. R. Dodds’ excellent independent edition of the Gorgias, published by Oxford. A solid Greek grammar and lexicon are also required, though you almost certainly have them from an earlier course.
