The Renaissance is known, as much as for anything else, for its remarkable outpouring of visual art. Consider the following paintings. How does the portrayal of people in art change (consider who is being painted, what they are doing, and how they are portrayed with respect to each other and their surroundings). How might this change reflect some of the changing views of individuality discussed earlier?
