The readings for these dates are to be completed by the date shown. We will go over problems in class, but otherwise you should be ready to cut and paste any part of the assigned passages. I usually start with an introductory session, laying down working procedures and so on, but anyone likely to make it into this class is almost certainly already familiar with what I do and how I do it — accordingly, let's hit the ground running.
Let me also emphasize that these assignments are minima for reaching the goal by the end of the year. If you can cover more ground (which, while it may seem impossible, really isn’t), we can use the rest of the year, at your discretion, to take on some other piece of Plato or something by Aristotle. Options are many, and they're all a fair amount of fun.
