We have examined the growth and partial collapse of political and economic imperialism around the world in recent months, and will resume that discussion in the next session as well. The First World War fragmented or destroyed a number of political empires outright. What replaced these structures in the settlements of the war, and did these new arrangements fill a need or perpetuate a wrong? What kinds of power do these changes address?
